JOHNSTON, R.I. -

Crews in Johnston Wednesday are working to fix a 16-inch water main break.

The break happened on Atwood Avenue in front of St. Rocco's School.

It did cause some flooding Tuesday night and forced the closure of part of Atwood Avenue.

The Providence Water Supply Board said nearby residents may be experiencing an interruption in their water service or may have low water pressure.

As of noon Wednesday one lane has been blocked off, but traffic is getting through slowly.
