HARTFORD, Conn. -

A person, who may have threatened President Barack Obama, is said to be in Secret Service custody Saturday morning.

The NBC affiliate in Hartford, Ct. confirmed the information from the police in Hamden.

Officers there say a late model Volkswagen Jetta was found in a parking lot in their community last night. They also told WVIT that a suspect was in custody.

Neither the Secret Service nor the Connecticut State Police have yet to confirm the suspect's capture.  Troopers did tell the Hartford Courant the car had been found in Hamden.

According to NBC News, authorities said a person might be armed with an assault rifle and was driving a car with Connecticut plates.

According to NBC Connecticut, local police in New York received reports that someone possibly trying to harm the president was headed in that direction in the Jetta.

President Obama was in Rhode Island Friday night, to attend a Democratic fundraiser, before flying back to Washington, D.C.,
