COVENTRY, R.I. -

A Walmart in Coventry was evacuated and bomb-sniffing dogs were called in Friday to search the store after police said a worker received a bomb threat over the phone.

Authorities were called to inspect the store on 650 Centre of New England Blvd. but didn't find anything suspicious in the building.

Police said the threat was called in at about 4:15 p.m. Managers evacuated the store and secured the perimeter.

The Rhode Island State Police were called and bomb-sniffing dogs were brought it to sweep the store.

The store was reopened at 6:45 p.m.
