FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -
The New England Patriots opened training camp Thursday in Foxborough and fans came out in droves to check out their favorite players.
"Woke up early, like 5:30 a.m. Got here, an hour drive. Lot of traffic but we got in and we're here to see some Patriots," said Patriots fan Wally Seha.
Fans packed into the bleachers, shoulder to shoulder, happy to the team back on the field.
Fans were especially excited to see players like Vince Wilfork, Jerod Mayo and Rob Gronkowski, who haven't seen a lot of action because of injuries.
"Really excited (to see Gronkowkski). I just hope he can make it all the way to the playoffs. He tends not to," said Patriots fan Sahib Sangha.
If Gronkowski can make it through a season healthy, fans say they have high hopes this season.
"Super Bowl, big Super Bowl win. Tom Brady can break a lot of records. And my boy, Vince Wilfork, needs to make it through a season," Seha said.
