LOWELL, Mass. -

Hundreds of people gathered at a Buddhist temple in Massachusetts to offer prayers and donations to the victims of a fire that killed seven people this week, including five members of a Cambodian family.

Much of the country's second largest Cambodian immigrant community gathered Sunday evening at the Glory Buddhist Temple in Lowell to remember those killed in Thursday's fire. The Boston Globe (http://bit.ly/1tFZetg ) reports few showed up empty-handed.

Five members of a Cambodian family, including three children, were among those who died in the pre-dawn fire. More than 40 other people of Cambodian origin lost their homes.

The two others killed in the blaze were identified by family as roommates Tina Christakos and Robert Downs.

Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
