Owners design wheelchair for paralyzed rabbit

Mount Pearl, Newfoundland -

A disabled rabbit in Canada is developing quite a following after her story appeared on Facebook.

There’s no hopping for Dolly. She has a number of health issues, including a pair of paralyzed hind legs.

Her owners, Renee Thompson and Brad Coffin, letting that stop her from getting around. They designed a pair of custom-made wheels for Dolly.

Brad Coffin made the wheelchair out of a child’s toy car.

“Very stable, runs around, acts pretty much like a normal rabbit, but with wheels,” Coffin explained.

The couple posted Dolly’s story on Facebook to let others know that disabled animals can still live happy lives.
