Fire officials in Bridgewater had a tough time fighting a 4-alarm fire that destroyed two abandoned homes early Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out at about 12:30 a.m. at 76 Broad Street and took several hours to put out.
Bridgewater Fire Chief George Rogers said they responded to a small fire in one of the structures a few days ago.
One firefighter was transported to Brockton Hospital for minor injuries.
State police fire investigators were called to the scene to begin the investigation.
There is still no word on what caused the fire, but fire crews will be on the scene all morning putting out hot spots and cleaning up.
