A school teacher at the Adult Correctional Institutions is accused of faking time cards to collect extra pay.
Anne Kernick, 59, of Narragansett was arrested and charged Friday with obtaining money under false pretenses and filing a false document. She was arraigned in District Court and released on $10,000 personal recognizance.
Investigators said Kernick submitted false time cards from March until June and collected more than $1,700 in extra pay.
Kernick has been a school teacher at the Department of Corrections for 25 years.
She's next scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 28.
