Rhode Island EMT suspended

A Rhode Island E-M-T is suspended from duty, indefinitely.

A statement from the Department of Health in to the NBC 10 News room said Mark Alves was suspended following his plea of NOLO to two charges of felony assault.

He was placed on home confinement for one year.

Alves is employed at the North Kingstown Fire Department.

He has been a licensed E-M-T since 1995.
