    Former Providence Mayor Vincent "Buddy" Cianci Jr. says he hasn't made up his mind about running for his old job.

Candidates for statewide and local offices in Rhode Island had until 4 p.m. Wednesday to file their declaration papers.

Twelve candidates have filed in the race for governor.

Seeking the Democratic nomination are Clay Pell, General Treasurer Gina Raimondo, Providence Mayor Angel Taveras and Todd Giroux. Cranston Mayor Allan Fung and businessman Ken Block are seeking the Republican nomination. James Spooner is running under the Moderate Party banner.

Thomas Davis, Kate Fletcher, Leon Kayarian and Christopher Reynolds filed as independent candidates. Anna Winograd Vrankar is a Compassion Party candidate.

Three Democrats are seeking the nomination for lieutenant governor. They are Rep. Frank Ferri, Cumberland Mayor Daniel McKee, and Secretary of State Ralph Mollis. Republicans running are Catherine Taylor and Kara Young.

Thomas Gallant and Tony Jones are third party candidates.

Guillaume De Ramel faces Nellie Gorbea in a Democratic primary for secretary of state. John Carnevale Sr. is the lone Republican in the race. Pamela Azar filed as an independent.

The attorney general's race won't be decided until the general election. Democratic incumbent Peter Kilmartin is being challenged by Republican state Sen. Dawson Hodgson.

The race for general treasurer pits Frank Caprio against Seth Magaziner for the Democratic nomination. Ernest Almonte filed as an independent.

In the U.S. Senate race, Democratic incumbent Jack Reed faces no opponent from his party. Kara Young and Mark Zaccaria are seeking the Republican nomination.

U.S. Rep. David Cicilline, a Democrat, has a primary opponent in Matthew Fecteau in the 1st Congressional District. Cormick Lynch and Stan Tran filed as Republicans. Joseph Zuccolo is an independent.

U.S. Rep. James Langein, the Democratic incumbent in the 2nd District, won't have a primary fight. Rhue Reis is running as a Republican, and Charles Picerno is an independent.
