Handicapped accessible playground opens in Fall River

Posted: Updated:
FALL RIVER, Mass. -

The Saint Anne's Neighborhood Association along with the City of Fall River and the Kennedy Park Inclusion Playground Committee cut the ribbon Saturday morning for the Kennedy Park Inclusion Playground.

The Kennedy Park Inclusion Playground is the first fully handicapped accessible playground in Fall River's history. The vision for the playground was started by a group of volunteers who have worked for the past two years to bring these plans to fruition.

Children with different disabilities will be able to take part in a variety of activities at the playground in a safe environment.
