Suspect in Providence killing surrenders

A man sought in a killing in Providence surrendered to police Monday.

Leon Taylor, 31, was arrested in connection with the stabbing death of David Simmons on Dartmouth Avenue a week ago. Simmons, 32, recently moved to Providence.

A warrant for Taylor's arrest was issued last week.

Police said the men may have been fighting over a woman who is related to Taylor.
