School will get out on time this summer for students at New Bedford High.
School was canceled May 30, after vandals sprayed fire extinguishers inside the building. Three students were later charged with the vandalism.
According to a school statement, state Education Commissioner Mitchell Chester gave the city the option of waiving the 180-day requirement .
The Standard-Times reports there will not be a make up day.
