An 18-year-old Pawtucket man pleaded guilty Thursday to second-degree murder and conspiracy in the killing of a Providence teenager.

Alain Bedame is one of five men charged in the shooting death of 17-year-old George Holland II, who was killed Feb. 4 by a bullet that came through the window of a home on Colfax Street.

The state attorney general said Bedame faces a maximum sentence of life plus 20 years when he's sentenced at a later date. He also agreed to testify against the other defendants.

Bedame, Ashner Alexis, Anthony Moore, and Seydina Ndoye were named in an indictment charging each of them with one count of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence.

A fifth defendant, Robert Winston, pleaded guilty in March to conspiracy and is awaiting sentencing.

Police said Holland was not the intended target of the shooting.
