This year's theme was making the world a better place. Audrey Zhang thinks the world transformation should start with water.

She wrote a note to go with her Doodle:

"To make the world a better place, I invented a transformative water purifier. It takes in dirty and polluted water from rivers, lakes, and even oceans, then massively transforms the water into clean, safe and sanitary water, when humans and animals drink this water, they will live a healthier life."

She also helped create the animated doodle version spending a day with the Google doodlers and making sure all the elements of the image are just right, Google representatives said.
