CRANSTON, R.I. - A Cranston parole board will make a decision on whether or not to let Jamie Hughes, III, out of prison.

Hughes is convicted of beating Zeke Harris, who owned a furniture store in North Kingstown, to death with a hammer after trying to rob him. Harris was 79-years-old. Hughes was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.

This is Hughes' first parole hearing in three years. Previously the hearings had been separated by five years.

Harris' daughter and granddaughter will testify against Hughes' parole bid. They'll find out the parole boards' decision soon-after.
