No injuries were reported after a tug boat fire off the coast of Block Island.
The towing vessel "Viking" caught fire about seven miles off Sakonnet Point,
at about 5 p.m. Sunday. The boat was about 18 miles east of Block Island when the fire broke out.
The Coast Guard rushed to the scene, but the crew managed to put the fire out by themselves. The Coast Guard said nobody was injured and no pollution was released into the water.
The vessel was left disabled.
