PROVIDENCE -

The jury ended deliberations for a second day without a verdict Friday in the trial of a man accused of conspiring with fellow gang members to shoot at a party which resulted in the death of a 12-year-old girl.

Luis "Fat Boy" Gonzalez has testified he couldn't move fast enough to prevent 22-year-old Branden Castro from firing into a crowd at a graduation party on June 15, 2013.

Prosecutors allege that Gonzalez and four other gang members went to the Hartford Housing Project that night seeking revenge for the killing of a friend.

Aynis Vargas was shot to death. Three women with her were wounded.

The jury is scheduled to continue its deliberations Monday.
