Providence celebrates 'Creative Corridor of Color'

Posted: Updated:

The Partnership for Providence Parks, the city Parks Department and the Providence Children's Initiative have announced the Creative Corridor of Color at Fogarty Elementary School on Oxford Street.

Elementary students and volunteers will be painting Friday, overseen by internationally known artist Max Frieder.

The project is part of a plan to mark the city's green spaces with color, to invite kids and their families to take advantage of the open space.

The water park building at Harriet and Sayles Park, next to the school, is expected to be painted on Saturday.
