Motorcycle accident in Warwick leaves one man dead

WARWICK, R.I. -

Warwick police released the name of the man killed in a motorcycle accident Wednesday night.

Frank Rosa, 56, of Warwick, died after the yellow Suzuki he was riding struck a pole at the intersection of West Shore Road and Coleman Street just before 8 p.m.

Police said Roasa was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the roadway. He was not wearing a helmet, according to police.

Investigators are still trying to figure out whether speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.

Witnesses said a blue Mustang was speeding in the area just before the motorcycle crashed. Investigators said they are trying to figure out if the car was involved in the crash.
