PROVIDENCE -

Providence police said Monday they are looking for an 18-year-old man who shot and killed an aspiring rapper and wounded the rapper's younger sister.

Police are looking for Joseph Taylor in connection with the fatal shooting that killed 20-year-old Davon Taylor and wounded 15-year-old Destiny.

Joseph Taylor isn't related to Davon Taylor or his sister, but police said they believe he knew Davon Taylor.

Capt. Michael Correia told NBC 10 the two men are from rival neighborhoods.

Davon Taylor was driving his sister on Wendell Street on Wednesday when their car was fired upon.

Friends of Davon Taylor told the Providence Journal he was trying to make a name for himself as a rapper, recording music under the name of Splashy Roc.

Anyone with information about the Taylor killing or the whereabouts of Joseph Taylor is asked to contact the Providence Police Department.
