It can be hard for older or disabled dogs to get adopted. But, the Nebraska Humane Society said this adoption is a match made in heaven.

Both Rosie, the pit pull, and her new human, are deaf.

The dog has been taught sign language for basic commands like sit down, walk, stay, and outside.

The adoption they say is bittersweet for the Humane Society workers who had grown attached to the dog.

But they did want to see Rosie get adopted, and said she could not have gone to a nicer family.
