Mother Nature turned the tables on a reporter in Texas, making him the story.

Jeff Smith of KXAS in Dallas-Fort Worth was reporting on low water levels at lake Ray Hubbard Friday.

That area is going through a drought and many boats are getting stuck in the mud.

He jumped in feet first to the thick, gooey mud and couldn't get out.

We're told Smith's photographer had a good laugh along with most of the newsroom before pulling him from the mud.
