Hartford police are looking for vandals who sprayed graffiti on a playground built to honor one of the victims of the Sandy Hook school shooting.
The spray-paint message found Sunday and later removed included the graffiti tag "BEKS" and the message, "Peace to Sandy Hook," using a peace sign and the numeral "2."
The playground, which opened a month ago, was built in honor of Ana Marquez-Greene, who was six when she was killed along with 19 other students and six educators inside the Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown.
It is part of the Sandy Ground Project, which has been building a playground for each of the 26 shooting victims, most in areas that also were impacted by Superstorm Sandy.
