Wrentham man faces murder charge

Posted: Updated:
BROCKTON, Mass. -

A Wrentham man has been charged with murder, following  a stabbing at a Kingston hotel earlier this month.

Charles DeJesus was held without bail after pleading not guilty to murder and other charges Thursday in Plymouth District Court.

The Brockton Enterprise quotes authorities as saying DeJesus got into a flight with Raymond Sanfilippo, 31, at the Inn at Plymouth Bay April 10.

According to the paper, prosecutors say the two men fought over a woman, following a party at the hotel.

Sanfilippo died from his injuries Tuesday night.

The Enterprise reports that DeJesus' lawyer said there is a strong indication that his client may have acted in self-defense.
