The state medical examiner's office said Friday that the Woonsocket man who died after a fight with his roommate at a local bar died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.

Police said 58-year-old Robert Gordon died at Rhode Island Hospital on Sunday, two days after the fight at Charlie's Bar.

The victim's roommate, 59-year-old Alan Klemanchuck, was charged with domestic felony assault. He was released on personal recognizance.

The attorney general's office and police told NBC 10 on Friday that they're still working on the case.

Police were called to the bar shortly after 11 p.m. Friday. The victim was taken to Landmark Medical Center for an alcohol evaluation and later transferred to Rhode Island Hospital.
