PAWTUCKET, R.I. - In celebration of this Sunday's canonization at The Vatican, Bishop Thomas Tobin of Providence's Roman Catholic Diocese will celebrate a special Mass in Pawtucket.

He'll preside over the service at Blessed Pope John Paul II Church on Central Avenue, at 10 a.m.

Bishop Tobin will also bless a new statue and prayer cards of Saint John Paul at the conclusion of the Mass.

The statue will be carried during a short procession to St. Cecilia's on Newport Avenue.

Pope John Paul II and Pope John XXIII will be made saints this Sunday, at the canonization in The Vatican.

It will be the first time two popes will be canonized at the same time.
