Police: Man apparently falls to death from Fall River apartment

FALL RIVER, Mass. -

A man apparently fell from an apartment building to his death Thursday morning, Fall River police said.

Police said they were called to the Ships' Cove Apartments on Canal Street at about 8 a.m. after getting a report of a man lying in the parking lot.

Police said the 52-year-old suffered injuries from an apparent fall from the building, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's name was not released.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office and the state medical examiner's office is investigating.
