No selfies at Bryant U grad ceremony

Posted: Updated:
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Since David Ortiz's now world-famous selfie with President Obama, some people are more wary of the selfie phenomenon.
At Bryant University, the school is asking students to not take selfies with University President Ronald Machtley while receiving their diplomas at the upcoming graduation ceremony.
Machtley says students often request selfies on campus, but with more than 800 students walking across the stage, selfies would slow down the ceremony.
Students will be allowed to take photos until the start of graduation on May 17th and will be able to post them on a school site.
