Woonsocket PD makes drug arrests

WOONSOCKET, R.I. - Woonsocket Police made two drug-related arrests this week.
The Woonsocket Police Narcotics Unit and Special Response Team conducted a weeks long investigation into drug activity at 2281 Diamond Hill Road Apartment E and executed a search warrant on Thursday, April 17th.
During the raid, Mark Briggs, 28, was arrested in the apartment and charged with two counts of Delivery of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Maintaining a Common Narcotics Nuisance, and Distributing Controlled Substances near Schools and Parks.
Police recovered crack cocaine, cash and drug paraphenalia.
On Friday, April 18th, the Woonsocket Vice Unit executed a search warrant at 63 Mill Street and arrested Murphy Ramos, 25, for a number of alleged drug offenses.
Detectives seized 64 bags of crack cocaine, 7 bags of heroin, 3 bags of powder cocaine and 94 bags of marijuana, cash, and drug items.
Ramos was charged with with two counts of Delivery of Heroin, one count of Delivery of Crack Cocaine, Possessing With Intent to Deliver 1 Ounce to 1 Kilo of Cocaine and 1 Ounce to 1 Kilo of Heroin, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Cocaine and Maintaining a Common Narcotics Nuisance.
