A Bristol native has a very personal reason for running in the Boston Marathon Monday.
Lauren Gablinske will be one of 12 runners participating in the marathon as part of the Samaritans team, to help raise money for the suicide-prevention-and-counseling agency.
Lauren's brother Derek took his own life two years ago. She says the Samaritans were of great help to her to get through that difficult time. So she now she wants to give back.
She says she's received more than $30,000 in pledges so far.
