Chair throwing student gets expelled

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. - A New Bedford student who threw a chair in the direction of teacher at New Bedford High School has been expelled.
Kemar Omar Roselus was involved in an argument with a teacher about the confiscation of his cell phone when he became agitated, picked up a nearby chair and hurled it towards the teacher.
The incident was captured on video by a fellow student.
There is now a no trespass order against Roselus and an investigation is ongoing into the behavior of other students in the class.
There is also an investigation into the failure of the school to learn about and deal with the incident.
Roselus was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon, disturbing the school, and malicious destruction of personal property.
