Pawtucket police said Friday that they have arrested a man accused of stealing an ambulance.

Police said 18-year-old Michael Maynard was picked up by a patrol officer on Cottage Street at about 12:20 a.m.

Maynard was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Bail was set at $5,000 with surety.

Maynard is accused of stealing a MedTech ambulance March 28. The ambulance was found abandoned on Carter Avenue with damage from a crash.

MedTech workers located the ambulance using its GPS tracker. A dashboard camera took pictures of Maynard behind the wheel.
