A man who got into a fight with former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez at the Bristol House of Corrections has been released.

The Bristol County Sheriff's Office said Andrew Booker was released on bail on Saturday. He was arrested in September on drug charges.

Hernandez is accused of assaulting Booker Feb. 25 in a hallway at the Bristol County Jail and House of Correction.

Booker's lawyer told the Taunton Gazette that his client does not want to testify about the fight.

Hernandez pleaded not guilty in the killing of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, a Boston man who was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancée.

Authorities have said that Hernandez and two other men picked up Lloyd from his Boston apartment in a rental car shortly before Lloyd was found shot to death on June 17.
