There is an update on the local boy that captured the hearts of police and firefighters across the country.

Now we're learning that Tyler Seddon's leukemia cells are finally decreasing. Doctors told his mom about the progress and she is spreading the word on Facebook.

Early this month, the cancer patient from Burrillville was named honorary police chief for his 7th birthday.

It was part of a big celebration that was attended by first responders from across the country.
