High School 'Sing Off' competition begins

Music filled the air Thursday night at the Southern New England Sing Off presented by NBC 10, Cat Country 98.1 and Cardi’s Furniture.

The Warwick Vets Jazz Chorus sang a rendition of Fever, Cumberland High School performed Black Bird and Dae Mon, and East Providence High School rocked the house with Elijah Rock and Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

Vets Four the People Quartet is made up of four very talented young men from Warwick Vets, they sang Miley Cyrus's Wrecking Ball and the Cups Song.

Next Thursday evening March 20 will be the last Sing Off  tryouts before the winners are chosen to advance to the Final Round on Thursday, March 27, 2014.

Time: 6 p.m.-.8. p.m. (5p.m. check-in)

Where: The new Community Room at Cardi’s Furniture in South Attleboro, MA

Grand Prize: $1,000 Cash Prize for the School’s Music Department courtesy of Cardi’s
