17-year-old charged as adult in Providence killing

PROVIDENCE -

A 17-year-old was charged as an adult Friday in the killing of a Providence teenager.

Robert Winston was waived out of Family Court and arraigned in District Court on charges of conspiracy to commit murder and misfiring a gun. He was ordered held without bail.

Winston and four men are accused in the Feb. 4 killing of 17-year-old George Holland II. Police said Holland was killed when someone fired through the window of a home on Colfax Street.

Alain Bedame, 18; Anthony Moore, 21; Ashner Alexis, 18; and Limamou Ndoye, 19, each face a charge of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

All five suspects are due in court for bail hearings March 7.
