Caught on camera: Snow plow thefts

Posted: Updated:

South Kingstown police said Tuesday that two men were caught on camera stealing two snow plows from a car dealership.

Police said the eight-foot Fisher Minute Mount II snows were taken from Paul Masse GMC on Tower Hill Road in January. The stolen plows are worth about $10,000.

Police said surveillance footage shows two men take the plows off dealership trucks and mount them on their own pickup truck. One plow was stolen at about 10:30 p.m. Jan. 26 and the second was taken about two hours later.

Police described the thieves' pickup truck as a white Ford F250 or F350 with a regular cab and a long bed. A yellow commercial-grade sander is affixed in the bed of the truck.

South Kingstown police asked anyone who recognizes the truck or the men to call Detective Josh Eidam at 401-783-3321.
