I-95 south in North Stonington reopens

NORTH STONINGTON, Conn. -

Interstate 95 south between exits 92 and 93 in North Stonington, Conn., reopened Thursday night after a multi-vehicle crash closed the highway for hours.

A state Department of Transportation crew was patching a pothole when their truck was struck by a minivan. A third vehicle was also involved, and state police said at least three people were seriously hurt.

According to police  helicopter rushed 53-year old Evette Arias of Pawtucket to RI Hospital.  37 year old Lydia Diaz also of Pawtucket was rushed by ambulance to another hospital .

None of the DOT workers was hurt.
