WOONSOCKET, R.I. -

A funeral was held Sunday for a Woonsocket woman who was the victim of domestic violence.

Catherine Salvi passed away last week at the hospital. The 24-year-old mother had been in a coma since the attack.

Police have charged her boyfriend, Emmanuel Algaria with felony domestic assault.

There is no word yet on if the charges will be upgraded.
