Posted: Updated:

A fire damaged a home on Brookside Drive in East Greenwich, fire officials said.

The fire started just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

Acting Chief Russell McGillivray of the East Greenwich Fire Department told NBC 10 when crews arrived they saw heavy fire in the back of the raised ranch house.

Officials say no one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured.

East Greenwich crews received help fighting the flames from Warwick fire crews.

The cause is still under investigation.
