Westport police said Friday that they found a house full of drugs when they went to arrest a man on a motor vehicle warrant.

He wasn't home when police served a warrant Thursday at 1 Oakridge Lane, but officers found cocaine, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms. A subsequent search turned up more cocaine and mushrooms, plus drug scales, packing materials, cellphones, paperwork outlining drug deals and about $700.

Police arrested Joseph Dourado, 24, of East Providence, and Morgan Shipman, 22, and Nicholas Weiss, 29, who both lived in the home. All three were charged with drug counts.

Police also arrested Luis Cruz, a recently registered sex offender who was not living inside the home, though he listed it as his address. Police said Cruz told them he occasionally lives in Fall River and Swansea.

Cruz was charged with failure to properly register as a sex offender.

The subject of the original warrant wasn't located.
