Donate a toy, go to the head of the line

Posted: Updated:

The Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles is again teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for the annual Toys for Tots campaign.

New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at a DMV location on Dec. 12. In return, donators will get a Toys for Tots Red Return Ticket. The pass will allow a customer go to the front of the line to process their DMV transaction at any time during a period of one year.

Toys for Tots donations can be made at DMV locations in Cranston, Wakefield, Woonsocket, Middletown, Westerly and Melrose Street in Providence.

This special promotion will be good only on Dec. 12.
