City cites owner of exploded Pawtucket home

Posted: Updated:

NBC 10 has exclusively learned that the owner of the Pawtucket triple-decker that exploded two weeks ago has been cited by the city.

NBC 10 obtained documents that summons Lone Star Reality to housing court over a gas code violation.

The complaint says that the boilers inside this Mineral Spring Avenue home had been turned on, but had not been inspected by the city.

The heating system has not been blamed for the explosion.

As of Wednesday night, the only cause given was a gas leak with an unknown ignition source.

Investigators have said that due to the extent of the damage, it would be impossible to pin down the source of the gas.

The home owner will appear in housing court on December 6th.
