Men face charges in Providence home invasion

Two men face charges in an armed home invasion in Providence.

Joshua Ortiz, 22, and Luis Roman, 28, face charges of first-degree robbery, conspiracy and gun violations. Both men are from Providence.

Police said the men barged into a home on Vermont Avenue at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

They were arrested on Interstate 95 following a chase that ended in a crash on Thurbers Avenue. A .38 caliber handgun was found in the vehicle.

Police said Ortiz had prior warrants.
