I-Team: Male stripper charged with rape

Posted: Updated:
CRANSTON, R.I. -

A Providence man has been indicted on two counts of rape.

Investigators said 31-year-old Patrick Ladapo, a male stripper, locked two victims in a bedroom during a private party in Wareham, Mass. in August, telling each of them they'd won private lap dances. Then he allegedly blocked the door with a chair and raped them.

The NBC 10 I-Team uncovered another alleged attack in Providence one day earlier.

A woman told NBC 10 that Ladapo grabbed her daughter and put her in a headlock, refusing to let her go. He's been charged with simple assault.

"He steps in front of her. He touched her. He put his arm around her neck and made her feel like she lost the power that she had. He made her feel afraid," the woman told NBC 10 on Aug. 30.

The I-Team has also reported that while Ladapo was a medical student at Brown University in 2008, another woman accused him of sexual assault, but never filed charges.

Ladapo never finished medical school at Brown, although the university won't say whether he dropped out or was forced to leave.
