Man, juvenile arrested in Johnston fire

JOHNSTON, R.I. -

Two people are facing charges in a suspicious fire in Johnston.

The fire broke out early Sunday morning in a vacant house at 87 Greenville Ave. It took about three hours to knock down the flames.  No one was hurt.

Police arrested Brian Rosa on Monday and charged him with first-degree arson, conspiracy and larceny. His alleged accomplice is a juvenile.

Police are also implicating both Rosa and the juvenile in a fire at 1 Yale Ave. in Johnston last week.

Rosa was arraigned in Kent County District Court. The juvenile will appear in Family Court on Tuesday.
