The state of Rhode Island is committing to putting more electric cars on the roads.
Rhode Island is joining California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, and Vermont in pledging to put 3.3 million plug-in vehicles on the road in those eight states by 2025.
The eight states are also pledging to develop the charging infrastructure necessary to support those vehicles.
