Neither driver was a fault in a Monday morning crash between a school bus and a pick-up truck, police said.
Police said no citations have been issued.
According to the Providence Journal, police said the driver, 35-year-old John Snell, of Portsmouth, was driving south on Park Avenue when he collided with the bus. The bus was making a left turn from Boyd's Lane onto Park Avenue.
The newspaper reported the bus was carrying two students, who declined medical attention, and a bus monitor, who was not injured.
The drivers were taken to Newport Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
