Fall River police have arrested and charged a man in connection with an assault.
Luis Miranda, 34, of Fall River, was charged Tuesday with four counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of firearm, defacing a firearm serial number, and carrying a loaded firearm in public without a license among other charges. Miranda also had two outstanding warrants for motor vehicle violations from 2011 and 2013.
He was ordered held on $5,000 bail and scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
Police said officers heard a radio transmission about four people in a blue Mazda being assaulted by a man with a gun in front of a home on Quequechan Street.
The officers spoke with the four victims, a 39-year-old woman, and three men ranging in age from 17 to 25 years old.
Police said the investigation led them to a home on Quequechan Street, where they found Miranda walking down the stairs carrying trash bags. Investigators found a loaded handgun in one of the bags.
